Siskiyou Girls Circles
Now enrolling for our Spring Circles (grades 6th-12th)
Our Siskiyou Girls Circles offers a safe and supportive space for girls to connect in their journey through adolescence. Circle provides a place to ask bigger questions and to go a little deeper — bridging the relationships between feelings, mindset, and choices. We utilize intentional conversation, tools for growth, fun and engaging activities, creativity and art, and dynamic outings — giving rise to new friendship, empathy, laughter, creativity, and hope in the knowing that they’re not alone! Circles create an intentional space for youth and teens to explore all the thrills, challenges and confusion in a connecting environment. Our Circles are intentionally reflective of each specific group’s needs, and facilitated by 2-3 mentors.. While not therapy, our circles offer a deeply supportive environment, built on trust, confidentiality and kindness, utilizing a strengths-based and growth mindset approach.
A typical circle includes
* A Landing moment.
* Interactive games
* Check-in
* An intentionally planned Topic (age appropriate)
* Art Project or Interactive Activity
* Closing and Reflection
* We have fun on outings and workshops each session!
Please note: the Siskiyou Circle is meant to serve as an support system for your child. We are NOT counseling or therapy. We bear witness, help youth connect and build trust and support. We offer concepts, contexts, tools and reflection for navigating important experiences common to the adolescent journey.
For more information please reach out!by email to info@FlipSideAshland.com. Circles are intended to be year round, although we often admit a new member or two during seasonal transitions. We are not an open-drop in format. Registration is required.

How Do YOU show up? High School is it's own sub-culture and pocket of time, marked by stressors and excitement of a powerful transition from childhood into young adulthood. Teens are faced with high levels of expectations, responsibilities, body and identity changes, experimentation and romance, new exposures to the hardship of local and global tragedy- alongside the mind exploding new ideas and passions! Everything feels bigger and more intense. Throw in a pandemic, the unique stress brought about with our local climatic region and the very real push for teens to figure out "What do you want to do with your life?"... and it can be daunting. We provide a space to breathe, to be, and to feel supported and accepted amidst (and in spite of) all these factors. Circle is a place for teens to know they're not alone, to broaden perspective, to identify resources and learn strategies for success and growth. They don't need to be perfect or "on" they just need to show up.
Topics range based on the developmental readiness and exposure of each group: Topics in the high school years often include many of the following:
* Friendship- Adjusting to HS, changing friends groups, loyalty and navigating healthy & toxic friendships
* Exploring Trust & Vulnerability & Authenticity
* Finding & Trusting your Voice- conflict & communication, Self defense, Speaking your Truth
* Body Image / Body Positivity- media messaging, self acceptance, eating disorders
* When things fall apart- Managing Stress, Loss, Divorce, Academics, Perfectionism, Expectations
* Hopes and Dreams- Vision boards, Goal setting, Resiliency, Values
* Peers, partying, safety and knowing your limits
* Romantic Relationships, dating boundaries, dating violence, healthy / unhealthy relationships
* Autonomy- independence, budget concepts, using a screw driver, college talks and self exploration
